Here's a walnut duck call I made this evening. It is plain old black walnut finished with BLO. I sanded between coats of BLO to fill the open grain. I cut the toneboard and tuned the call myself (there was a time when I bought commercially made toneboard inserts). It sounds absolutely awesome!
Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated.

Nice looking duck call... Nice to see something made like this without having to use commercial products in it.

Great looking call Aaron! Has to be a good feeling to be able to create your own sound on one of these - that makes it unique! Should be big sellers for you!

That is a beauty Aaron. Got to be a good feeling doing it all yourself.

What did you use to make your reed? Great looking call but unless it sounds right it is just another necklace. Congrats!!!

It sounds pretty good for a necklace! The reed is .010" mylar.

Looks good Aaron. Probably just showing it to the ducks would cause them to gather around and admire it.
