I've had this old mini-lathe that my Dad gave me. I believe it was my grandfather's who at one point was a machinist for the military during the war. The motor and footpedal work fine, and everything works well on the lathe but it could use a little TLC and needs a belt.

Any idea how old it is? The only marking I found says US Standard lathe. I can't imagine I'll have a use for it, and I'll be moving within the year and am not sure I need to haul it with me. Should I sell it? Any idea it's value?

No clues on that one, but it sure does look intersting. Looks to be fairly robust too, for a machine that small. Not interested in doing any small scale turning?

It's a watch makers lathe. A check of the horology websites may give you more info.

Dosen't it say Standard on the end?
