Possible ID on old Miter Saw.

Ok, well much to the LOML's joy (lol) I have now been looking at garage sales for saws...

Picked this up this morning and was wondering if anyone could help me ID it?

Most likely, that's a craftsman-made or craftsman-modified tool. I collect old tools, and I've never seen a comercially-manufactured handle of that style and shape.

If that's the case, it's likely that the handle is a retrofit to a commercially-made blade and back. I'd think you'd see a maker's stamp in the steel back.
