Here's a mirror frame and matching sconces I recently completed for my wife. The beveled mirror was recycled from a previous frame I made nearly 20 years ago that no longer matched our tastes. The design came from a similar mirror she saw in a magazine with a few changes and a different wood selection.
The wood is red oak, stained with MinWax Brazilain Rosewood stain and finished with Deft semi-gloss clear wood finish. All the mounting on the back was done with keyhole slots.
I also learned that I can use my quick grip clamps as small piece holders when I'm using my router table to make the candle socket pieces. A machinist friend helped me regrind a 7/8 spade bit to make a candle socket drill that tapers from 3/4" to 7/8" in a 5/8 inch deep hole.
Thanks for viewing.
