Delta 26-682 Bandsaw - $999 at Rockler

My monthly flier from Rockler indicates that they bought out Delta's remaining inventory of Delta model 26-682 bandsaws and have them for $999, with supposed savings of $500. Each store will get four saws. Anyone have any experience with this saw?

The 28-682 was(is) a nice saw. Be forwarned, though, Shipping damage was a BIG issue with this model. The narrow profile was prone to tipping and falling. when they hit they hit hard usually "springing " the frame. No fix for it unless you know someone with an automotive type frame straightener. Check the packing crate(more like a trellis) for any sign of damage.if none you've got a keeper. If the crating is damaged, likely the saw is too. Shipping damage was the ONLY issue we had with that model, except for the container of 220 units that was shipped with the door ajar, on deck. Rust city and total scrap!
