I am work on the plans for a blanket chest to match the furniture we have now.
I will be attaching a 1 1/2" walnut edge on 3/4 walnut ply ( see images below ).
I am just not sure which way to go, I have a 2 bit edge banding set that I just have not had a lot of luck with (image 1).
I also have a reversible glue joint bit and I do like it, I have had good luck with it on some panels glue ups (image 2).
So I don't see any reason that I could not use the reversible glue bit as the joint to hold the walnut to the plywood. In the drawings all the dark color is the walnut and the light color is the plywood.
