This was my first time with drawers, bandsaw legs, shop-made hardware and butterfly keys. Unfortunately the poor finish and worse photographs hide these. overall I am happy with the form and design, but the finishing was not carried out well at all. I'll call it a learning project.

Interesting design, Zach! You took on a lot of "firsts" at one time, but seems like they all came together pretty good.

Much bolder than my first time and much nicer. I like the bandsaw legs you came up with. Things get easier the more you do..

Keep up the progress..

Nice work, quite adventurous for a first project.

Biggest lesson I have learned for finishing is keep it as simple as possible. Some of the finest furniture produced in the world has nothing more than a few coats of oil varnish strait from a can wiped on with dirty rags torn from an old t-shirt.

Surface prep is everything as well.

You know what you can do now, and from the lessons learned you know what you need to do so I really can't say anything more than start working on your next project
