hi all

I have a client that periodically buys challenging laser engraving services from me. He now wants to embed an object in a crystal obelisk. My thought is to find a proper crystal piece and have a yag split it and then have a yag make a pocket to fit the small object in one side and then glue the 2 sides back together. (He is okay with this concept..I'm just not sure how to go about it)

Any ideas here amongst this great brain trust?

thanks

I wouldnt bother with that , it sounds like mission impossible for about a zillion reasons , embed in acrylic or water clear casting resin

www.uscomposites.com (http://www.uscomposites.com) and the product is silmar 41, It is a water clear PR casting compound made for larger or thick casting. I use it often. It can be machined to size and takes a polish very well.
