I need a 3"x6" and 2mm (0.0787") thick stainless steel plate to be used as a panel tag.
Does anyone have a source for these? I'd like to find it locally since it's a rush job....would I look up metal fabricators in the yellow pages or something else?

Steve, I had some Stainless watejet cut from a converting house a couple months back.
So you might check under converting, metal fabrication, custom auto custom kitchens counter tops etc. Maybe if you have a Grainger close they may sell smaller sheets.
Good luck!

That might be better than nothing.......do you remember where you got it?

I have them custom made for one of my customers. Not sure of the thickness. If you are interested I'll measure it. I need to get some material sheared and I could get exactly what you need, just let me know.

Brian,
Thanks anyway......but I was able to find a guy two streets over who cut out exactly what I needed for $5.
Don't you just love when you find a good local supplier!

Good, the shipping probably would have cost that much.
