Since I have only one grit of sanding drum, had to tape strips of successive grits of paper to the drum and wind them in the right direction. To do the bottom, remove drum and install 1" mandrel. Would John Lucas consider this a woodturning tip for the Journal?
Guess you could rotate the drum every so often to use different area of the sandpaper, but was not needed for this little project. Might not work well for curved sides.
