As you'll remember (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=118667) I recently visited Scott Smith where we welded up my captured hollowing system.

Well Fri. night I finally was able to get some time to make my 3/4" boring bars(my 1/2" bars are a mix of homemade and Kelton tools.) Here are my 3/4" bars.

Gary - your new bars look like they should work out real nice! Let us know what you think after you have used them for a little bit!

Looking forward to seeing some of your hollow forms real soon!

At 18" I prefer mine to be around 1" but they should do the trick, you might get a fair bit of twisting from the offset tooling. So a extra handle to counteract that might be needed.
