I have not had much luck finding tools at garage sales lately but this week I found a Stanley 45 with almost all the parts and cutters, a Millers Falls #100 "Buck Rogers" push drill with the original box and a Stanley 60 1/2 block plane in good condition. My total cost was $37.50.

Nice find on the #45. You even got the slitter which is missing with a lot of them. Congratulations.

YOU SUCK!!!

Not only is there a slitter with the 45, the other commonly missing part, the lock screw for the fence, is there.

I'd but them all day long on a deal like that.

Yes, the #45 is complete except for the slitter depth stop and a few cutters. If anyone has a spare depth stop let me know. Thanks, Tom

You just raised the bar on rummage sale deals. I think it will be a long time before anybody beats that deal. Congrats!

DANG!!!!
This is too good to be true. Why don't you send that #45 to me so I can be sure its' all there.

You might want to look into the collector value of the push drill - that one looks really clean, and I think they're not common.

Thanks for all your kind words. I don't think I have ever qualified for a "You Suck" before so I feel honored. It's been a slow summer for garage sale finds. I'm still looking for that dusty panther saw or the #2 in a box of junk. Thanks, Tom

Fining a #1 or #2 in a box of junk is a thrill, but I bet you will use your 45 more often.
