Is this wax ok to use on equipment like saw tops? I bought some today and used it on a piece of furniture and it seems to make a very nice finish.

Sure. It's just wax with a fancy name.

What you DON"T want is wax that contains silicone. If the silicone rubs of onto the wood, you may have problems with stains and finishes.
