I have a beautiful piece of tulipwood that I plan to glue up and make a small bandsawn heart shaped box for LOML for our 5th anniversary coming up.
Being as pricey as it is, I won't have lots of scrap to experiment with finishes. I would like a nice clear non-building finish that retains the beautiful pink and white of the wood without darkening it too much.
Being a dalbergia sp. is the wood oily enough to just sand very fine and polish without any finish? Or do you have another recommendation?
Thanks.
Ryan
