Paul,

See if this website can help you http://www.woodfinder.com/

Using woodfinder and searching for "hard maple" I found quite a number of places in NY state. Advantage in Buffalo carries 10/4 hard maple. You might check the others for the one closest to you.

Good luck!

Hey Paul, I believe Curtis (Curious Woods), in Ballston Spa, has 8/4 and 12/4 hard maple. I guess it depends on what exactly you using it for.

Paul I have the same problem finding 10/4 especially in 10" or wider. I like it for platters and plates but hard to come by.

Paul - Try Willard Brothers in Trenton NJ - not cheap, but last I was there they had 8/4, 10/4, 12/4 and 16/4 0 in 7+ ft lengths and widths from 5-8 inches - you can also find their number and details on the web
