This is my last commission piece and the cost of the wood was significant since it is a large piece for Red Mallee. Sure was a lot more tense than using free wood. :D This stuff is sure hard. LOTS of trips to the grinder!
14 3/4" x 3 1/2" - Antique Oil and buffed - Wall thickness a little over 5/16"
I hope the client likes it.

It looks like a lava flow.

Toney - How far you have come in such a short period of time! Absolutely beautiful bowl! Amazing color, wonderful contrast between the NE and the grain pattern and a finish that highlights the wood and doesn't compete for attention! Your customer is going to love this piece! Very nice work - seriously - very nice! Thanks for sharing!
