looks to be a pretty good price @ Amazon. it might be more compressor than I need 99% of the time, but there are things on my "short list" that might require better airflow than my current loud/small/oilless compressor can provide...

I have the 26 gallon horizontal version. It works fine. I would not however have it shipped to me. CH doesn't package their compressors well. Mine came with a bent crankshaft and broken plastic housings.:mad:

Tractor Supply has a similar CH for $399.00, or better yet, an Ingersoll Rand for $599.00.

The IR has more air, almost twice the pump life (8,000 hours vs ~ 5,000)and a 100% duty cycle.
If you're patient, you can catch a sale at Tractor Supply and save about a hundred bucks.

Most of the Tractor Supply models are cheaper quality- they don't use solid cast iron pumps. Either aluminum or partially aluminum.

They must have changed them. When I bought mine last year, Tractor Supplies were cheaper in price and quaility- also the warranty wasn't as long
