Peter Hawkins gave me this piece of (I think) mimosa a couple years ago. Thanks again Peter. Finally got into some hollowing and decided to try it. Shakey going after about 6" deep, dry wood, tiny cuts. Wish the bottom was a little smaller, but maybe not too bad considering I don't really do HF's. As usual this was shot under ordinary 4' shop fluorescents, and note the slight blue tinge to the white background. The color of the piece is accurate using WB preset, but slightly underexposed I think.

C. & C. always welcome and helpful.

Very nice looking vase Richard! You sure pick hard forms to do when you are not used to hollowing! I always have trouble with the elongated forms! Pretty wood - really nice finish! Photo might be a little underexposed but it works just fine! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice HF. I think you are correct a smaller base would work,But all in all very nice!
