Menard Marine ply

I was in Menard's yesterday and saw samples of Marine ply on display in service area. 3/4" & 1/2", AB sided, larch or fir skinned. Looked pretty decent, I detected no voids and skin was reasonably thick enough to not sand through easily. Pricing seemed fair and associate remarked they put it on sale about once a month. Only problem, product is not normally stocked at this location but could be ordered with 3-5 days arrival time. Just wondering if this might be an affordable option for the boat builders on this site as the upscale marine materials are really getting pricey these days. Anyone have any experience with the product?
