This is a long shot but I have seen some great answers to very odd questions around this Creek. . . I have a one way valved, brass nozzled squeeze bulb that I use to blow debris out of mortise holes among other things. It is similar to the bulbs on glue bottles that use such things.

Anyway, is there a method of protecting the rubber that doesn't turn into a problem in the shop. I can find info on glycerol and auto products but I don't know how well these products will work in a woodshop (petroleum/silicone and all that).
