Hey again,
From what I can read here, we can cut thin magnet sheets with our lasers.

1. How thick can we cut (we have a 60 watt laser)?
2. Are there manuafacturers to stay away from?
3. Any other precautions for cutting?

Thanks,
David

use the hot wire test to see if it is pvc.

This is a question? I thought it was a statement! Magnetic sheet is synthetic metal mixed with a type of flexible resin, it can be cut but I would imagine that it will give off a bad odour and be very prone to melting.

How about Rowmark LaserMag.....I've cut it before......works great.

I cut 0.030 think magnetic sheets with no problem with my 60 watt laser. I make sure the sheets are flat against a steel plate to keep the shapes correctly.

I cut magnetic too, either lasermag or plain. You can cut part way and break it off pretty smoothly. Most of it, made for refrigerator or car magnetics does have vinyl on the surface, that's PVC.
