I was given approximately 60 2x4x24 to 30 inch long scraps. I would like to cut half laps to make longer pieces. My question is how damaging is this treated wood to my dado blades and jointer blades?

Treated lumber really is not good for carbide cutters.Carbide doesn't wear down in the same manner as a steel edged tool. Wear in carbide is caused by chemical reactions between the material being cut and the grains of the carbide. As the carbide at the edge breaks down chemically your edge is dulled. The chemicals in treated wood are particularly corrosive, especially when combined with the heat generated by cutting.

I doubt you're using P.T. for fine projects. If it were me and I were concerned I'd get cheap blades & cutters. I've cut some P.T. although it may have been pre ACQ stuff with freud blades and no issues as far as the tooling. It'd probably be a good idea to have some sort of respiratory protection though--even good cutters are cheaper than lungs;).

Thanks for your input.
I will be sure to clean my dado set after working with the ACQ
