Optical Crystal Engravings- "To fill, or not to fill?"

I'm curious to get some feedback from members that work with optical crystal awards as to whether you keep the engravings 'natural' or enhance the contrast with a product like Rub 'n Buff?

I'm on the fence with this one.

After recently filling a couple of crystal awards with gold, i think they look considerably better without color. Would not do it again.

Mirrors look good with color but not crystal. My $.02 cents

I prefer to leave them as they are right out of the oven...oops engraver

My general rule is not to color fill. I have done some Red Cross pieces where they asked for the colorfill but it's not my favorite.

Crystal looks better sand blasted rather than engraved and the colorfill should be done on the front of the piece rather than the back.
