I've read on here before that cogged V-belts can reduce vibration nearly as much as a link belt, but are cheaper. I've been looking for a 45" one, but none of the auto parts stores I've checked have ANY cogged belts. Does anyone know of some chain store that carries them?

Yeah, like those - but some folks on here have said that they found them at a local auto parts store. I was hoping to find one locally, so I could get it today :)

Try a farm implement dealer. They typically have a lot of good belts.

A-X belts are THE way to go. Far superior to link belts, imo.

Grainger has a good supply, but I get mine locally at Motion Industries.

I couldn't find one locally, so I ordered an AX belt from Grainger.

That is the truth!

Even regular unexpedited shipping is usually on my porch the second day, and if ordered early enough, many times it's there the next day. Wish all online vendors were as prompt.

We have a Motion Industries here and they are what I use for belts for my power tools as well as farm needs.
