Vacuum Chucking

I am looking to purchase a Holdfast vacuum chucking kit. All you guys with a Nova DVR, do I need to purchase anything else other than what comes with the kit. Is their anything that is needed to add to the lathe.

If this is the kit with the "vacuum generator", you need a decent air compressor. You may also want some closed-cell packing foam to pad the chuck.

If you buy their chucks you won't need closed cell foam. I have the holdfast system with a 26 gal 160 psi C-man compressor and it does just fine. I bought the 3" and 6". They work great so far after a little over a year. If you build your own chucks you will need some kind of closed foam.
