There is a large cabinet shop in Santa Ana that has closed. His friend in the next unit over is helping him sell his equipment. (See "SoCal Cabinet Shop Closing" under deals and discounts). The guy had a four unit setup that looks more like a factory than a shop. If you are wanting some heavy duty equipment, check it out.

I have been in the market for a drill press for a long time, but hadn't saved enough for a substantial machine.

This one runs great, has a large table, built in light, 1.5 hp, weighs almost 300 lbs. It is a Jet JDP-20MF. No rehab needed.

$200.

I would call it a gloat but I don't want to gloat when somebody had to close his shop. So let's just say I am very grateful. Too Grateful To Gloat.

Wow very nice. I have a 14mf and have seen the 17mf in shops.. But you got the big daddy.

Hopefully these guys can liquidate most of their tools and that their tools find good homes.

So where do I look for this? Craigslist? Thanks.

You can find it on craigslist too, but you'll have to do a search for it and I don't really remember the key words.

Wow. Nice score. I would love to get a DP like that, especially at that price.

Very nice DP and a great score. I also appreciate your empathetic attitude about acquiring it. Just remember, not your fault that the guy's business folded. Unfortunately, it's happening a lot these days.

Again, great score! I'm sure you'll enjoy your new DP.
