This came straight from Malcolm's book. I though I would try to learn the techinque. With the instructions right in front of me I had a hell of a time gettine it right.

Damn nice job Tom! That indian blanket pattern is difficult to get perfect, even with the book in front of you. Overall your joinery and alignment are very good. Looking forward to your next piece.

Tom, That is the whole reason why lots of us don't or have not tried the segmented realm of turning!! If it was easy we all would be stars!! You did a great job and your persistance paid off. One day before I die I will try one!! (I THINK!!)

Thanks and keep at it,

Jeff

Sheesh. It don't get any better than that! I've tried that pattern for feature rings before, without a lot of success. Kudos for a job well done!

Looks like your woods are cherry, walnut and maple...but what is the red wood used in the feather design?
