Considering lining my wood box (For wood storage for the wood burning stove) with Hardi- Backer. I'm wondering if wood boring or wood eating insects such as powder post beetles will attack the H.B. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Their website says it is cement board so I don't think the wood-eating bugs would like it.

It's an interior product but made for damp areas. Are you talking about the inside woodbox or the outside storage?

Not the usual application but should last a while.

The woodbox is for inside wood storage next to the stove.

If any insects start eating this stuff, you should run away...FAST. Those would be some pretty ferocious bugs!

Hello,
Use cedar instead.
HB is a good stable moisture & bug proof material, but, it's going to break apart on you. You'll end up replacing it often.
