Just wondering how these work, as they are a LOT cheaper by the 1000 than DowelMax by the 100. Are the tolerances OK?

I have not tried them, the last I got was from LV and they are the same as DowelMax, like $5 something a 100.

I will have to take a look and McFeely's, they are a lot cheaper. Their sell the DowelMax so I bet the work.

Thanks

They will work fine. Any brand dowel as long as it's the equivalent size will work. Spiral or straight fluted dowels are preferred over non-fluted as the glue won't flow the same. For larger quantities...makes no difference if the company sell the Dowelmax or not...dowels are dowels! You can get pre-glued dowel pins like they use in commercial shop and factories...

I use the dowels from McFeelys, no problems here and I like the price, have a box in the shop with 4000 of them in 1/4 and 3/8 (different lengths).
