Hi All:

So, I've been interested in getting one for a while now and after getting sucked into the vortex a year ago, the application on the woodlathe seems to have pushed the want into a need. (waste blocks and other temporary attachments).

I'm looking for advice from those who have good guns (or experiences with bad ones to stay away from).

Is there a model you like? Dislike? Features you feel you thought you needed and later figured out that it was unnecessary?

Also, your glue preference would be valuable - low temp, high temp, etc.

I am not interested in a craft gun, I have one of those... they are crud.... slow to heat, can't heat the good glues, and frankly make a mess as they sit due to a constant oozing.

Thanks!

mike

I use this one: Titebond HiPurformer Hot Melt Kit I have used it to glue hundreds of small parts to carousel horses. The initial heat up is about 15 minutes and much faster after that. You can reheat the cartridges and the best feature is that it is cordless!
