What advise would you'all have for making raised panels on cabinet doors using a hand plane? I have NO experience in doing this even though I use planes in most of my projects. Any help would be appreciated.

Derek was kind enough to preserve this. He also added many good points of his own. It may give you some ideas.

I did a build last year here on the forum where I did a rasied and fielded panel by hand. The raised panel piece starts at part 20 about 3/4 of the way down.

Thanks Robert,
I went through the whole project. You did a fantastic job explaining every step. I recently decided to go neander. I have more pleasure using planes and chisels vs tailed routers and table saws. Thanks again for your response. I look forward to your next build.
