While I was out in the shop modifying the tool rest support for the old lathe, I decided to also make a stand for the Jet Mini. :D It has been sitting on a portable table since I got it with twice as big a footprint. This was ok, but then I made a cabinet with a couple of drawers for it which made it too high up to be comfortable turning.

It is just a few 2x's put together and is level with no bounce or vibration and is the right height so that I can sit and turn when I need to. It's was only about 45 min. work and looks like it, but it works. :o

Thanks for looking.

Hi Dick

Terrific looking stand.

What sort of things do you turn that let you sit?

Thanks

Richard

I turn pens and bottle stoppers that allow me to sit when I get tired. There isn't alot of moving for those little items and it takes the pressure off my legs and back after an hour or so. The big stuff I just stop when I can't stand anymore. :(
