Automatic CraigsList email alert???

Do I remember someone posting something about a feature of CraigsList that allows you to get an email to alert you of something that has gone on sale (posted on CraigsList) of which you are interested? I seem to remember someone posting something along these lines, whether it was CraigsList that offered this service or some other venue, but does anyone know anything about this? I am curious about this service and may want to avail myself of it.

There may be a more direct way of doing it, but the way I do similar things is to use the RSS feed in conjunction with Pingie (www.pingie.com). If something new pops up on the RSS feed, pingie gives you a variety of ways of being contacted about it--email, SMS to your mobile phone, etc. You can create an RSS feed from a custom CL search, so it should work... I think...
