Try this. They are wood carving patterns but engrave well.

I got this copy write free photo from the web this morning (for a example), and ran it through a photo to pencil software program. I like Tiffen Dx2 and got a nice photo to engrave on the laser. So in about 5 minutes. I have a something ready to engrave. Before I got this software (It's mostly for photography) I would draw over a photograph. And it would take alot longer. Just my 2 cents worth.:) The nice thing about doing your own clip art with this or a similar program is in no time you can have a collection of art that's fits your needs to engrave.

Where did you get the Tiffen Software? Just tried a search for it and could not find a download site.

Yea, I also had hard time to find it, the reason is because it is Tiffen DFX not DX here is a link I found, http://www.tiffen.com/dfx_v2_home.html

Is this tiffen program easy to use, do you just scan a pic in, and is there a option photo to pencil that you just click, I have photograve which I use sometimes but it doesn't work very well is this program better or is it similar , my artwork is usually only about 1.5" in height and width. If this program works it would be a lifesaver, because no mater how much I try to explain to my customers I do not draw very well or make logos they insist on sending me pics out of a magazine for their artwork...if any other suggestions are out there I will try anything...but I am most defintely going to look into this one, it looks like they have a 15 day trial on it, I just wondering if it is easy to use.....

Cheryl before finding this program Tiffen DFX. I tried a few other similar photo to pencil programs. None came close to being simple as Tiffen's program. I just bring in the photo go to special effects click on pencil and chose one of 5 settings (or I can customise) and it's done.
