I've been a bit "under the weather" lately and haven't posted any projects so I thought I would post a couple I recently finished. The HF is Walnut, 4 inches tall. I'm getting better I think, but I'm not real happy with the inside. It has a couple tool marks I couldn't seem to get rid of, maybe next time. It also had a smaller opening but right at the end, I bumped the edge with my tool shaft, creating a new design opportunity resulting in a larger hole.:o The bowl is Myrtlewood, 6 inches in dia. and 3 inches tall. Sorry about the lousy pics, I've got to get a photo tent and learn to use it. As always comments and critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Nice job Chris. Love the grain patterns in both pieces. With respect to the walnut piece, the opening is a design feature so you can get the candy out easier! Well done!

Very nice. I especially like the grain and form in the hollow form.

Both are very nice, looks like the hole is a perfect size for piece.

Great job on both pieces Chris. I think the opening on the HF looks fine.

Nice work on both items Chris! You managed to showcase the best grain that each piece has to offer and topped it off with a really nice finish! Thanks for sharing!

Both are pretty. I really like the walnut one. How was the myrtlewood to turn? I have never turned any.

2 very pretty pieces Chris. You did a fine job getting the best grain and color from your HF. Gotta agree about the"candy hole". Hope you are feeling much better very quickly...Bill..
