Found an ad on CL for about 80 BF of birch planks, but asking price comes out to a little over $5/BF. Is this price in line with what the dealers sell it for? Unfortunately none of them have their pricing online so I will have to call a couple, but just wondering if anyone on here knows what it's going for.

Lumber prices vary from area to area but here is one reference point from Michigan:

Birch is about $4 Canadian per board foot in the Toronto area.

That's right in line with the going price in the D.C. area.

Just bought a 100 ft. for 2.35 ft.
I get a discount though.

A local lumber store (SF bay area) has recently been selling off its inventory. For S2S, FAS birch:
4/4 Birch - $3.81
8/4 Birch - $4.65
This seemed to be better than the retail prices I've been seeing at other area stores.
