While cutting some biscuit slots last night I noticed a little burning going on. I am assuming the cutter is getting dull. Anyone ever replace their biscuit joiner blade, and if so, which one? And how did you like the results. I am thinking about an 8 tooth to replace the 6 tooth factory one.

Thomas,

I recommend that you start by cleaning the one you have and see if it improves. Could save you the cost of a blade.

I'm sure that a saw sharpening service could sharpen the biscuit cutter. I checked on the price of a new one a while ago for the "FF" biscuit on my PC biscuit joiner. It was $70 or so.

I have the dewalt cutter.
I bought a spare blade. Amazon. $30.00 I think.
I switch blades when it gets dull and have it resharpened.

Amazon has Freud and CMT blades in the $20 range.
