Required information:
Number of holes
Hole Diameter
Outside Diameter
Inside Diameter
Pitch Circle Diameter
1. Measure gasket OD.
2. Measure gasket ID.
3. Measure hole diameter.
4. Calculate PCD
PCD=Outside to outside hole measurement+inside to inside hole measurement/2
To measure PCD of an existing gasket when information is not provided, measure holes outside to outside, then inside to inside. Add thse numbers together and divide by 2. This is the diameter of the PCD circle. Example: PCD=(outside+inside)/2, (9.5+8.5)/2, 18/2=9" Look at the picture to see the measurements.

If the gasket has odd number of holes, measure OD circle to OD of hole and OD circle to ID of hole. Then take the two numbers and subtract from OD circle. (example OD=10 OD to outer hole=.25, OD to inner hole=.75, PCD=OD-(outer meas+inner meas) 10-(.25+.75) 10-1=9.) This would also give you the hold diameter if it was not given (example .75-.25=.5)

Here are the measurements I will be using for the tutorial:
Example
OD 10”
ID 8”
PCD =9”
Number of holes = 5
Hole dia ½”
1. Open new file
2. Set page size 1” bigger than OD (for this example, 11 X11)
3. Set guides. Enter guides and middle of page starting with 0 degrees. Divide 360 by number of holes to find angle required (for this example 360/5=72 degrees. Guide lines: x=5.5, y=5.5, angle=0; x=5.5, y=5.5, angle=72 degrees; x=5.5, y=5.5, angle=144 degrees; x=5.5, y=5.5, angle=216 degrees; x=5.5, y=5.5, angle=288 degrees)

4. Draw a circle for OD, center it on page (for this example=10), set line size to hairline or desired size that laser will identify as line to be cut.

5. Draw a circle for ID, center it on the page (for this example, ID=8"), set line size to hairline or desired size that laser will identify as a line to be cut.

7. Draw a circle for holes, duplicate for number of holes required (for this example=5), set line size to hairline or desired size that laser will identify as line to be cut.

9. Zoom in to one of the holes. Drag hole center to intersection of PCD and guideline. When lined up, the word "quadrant" or "edge" should appear. Repeat with the rest of the holes.

10. Delete the PCD circle. Select all items and group them together. Duplicate for desired number of gaskets to be made per sheet. Resize page to desired page for your laser. Remove guides. Alternately, you can make a new page and copy the gasket as necessary. This will keep the guidelines for another gasket layout. You can adjust the size as necessary. Just remember to move the guides to the center of the page.
