There is a Canadian company called Toolex which sells a cabinet table saw that it has imported and branded. The model number is TSC-10HK. The specs look good and I am considering buying it. Here is a link to description of the saw by one of its retailers (The Saw Shop):

Here is a link to the Toolex web site where you can then look up the TSC-10HK:

I can't seem to find any independent reviews of the saw. So, I am hoping that this saw is the twin of one that is re-branded and sold by some company in the United States. There is one saw that seems to come close and that is the Grizzly G1023S. Here is a link to a description of that saw:

I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me the name and model of a twin (or, at least, a sibling) saw to the Toolex TSC-10HK.

Frank,

I have a saw from the same factory. It is the TSC-10HB - a 10" 3HP right-tilt cabinet saw. It is almost identical in design, it looks it anyway.

The -10HB is quite popular here in Australia and you can get it for a bargain price. It is very well made and robust. I'd imagine the -10HK would be of similar quality. In fact I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between the two models. My saw only came with 30" rails as standard.

The saws are made in Taiwan by Mao Shan (www.maoshan.com (http://www.maoshan.com)) who make a lot of machines that are rebadged for various companies worldwide.

Dean, does your saw have the Toolex brand? You say your saw is from the same factory. Where is the factory?

Frank, see above I edited my post with details :)

Mine is "Carbatec" badged, a local company here in Oz.

OK, I found a name under which this saw is sold in the United States. That is "Transpower". I even found a review that included this saw (at http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/pages/w00042.asp). The Transpower saw is not rated very highly becuase of the fence. However, if I get the saw, I will purchase it through a dealer in Canada named "The Saw Shop". They include a different (Canadian made) fence named "Accusquare" and I have heard good things about this fence.

I would asppreciate any feedback from anybody who has a Transpower saw.

Frank, you can get more information about the Accusquare fence system at http://www.mulecab.com/

Now that I know that the (or maybe the word should be a) brand name for this saw in the USA is Transpower, I am going to start a new thread asking people who have experience with their saws to respond.

Frank. I have the mulecab fence on my griz 1023. Really like it. I also have the router fence attachment. Long rails.
