I have a Bedrock 607 I would like to repair. It is in very good shape but missing the front knob, blade and blade clamp. Missing these parts would explain why this plane appears to have very little use. DA...... Does anyone have any leads for parts?

Dave, You might look here though Bedrock stuff is pricey and somewhat hard to fine. http://www.stjamesbaytoolco.com/

There are usually some Bedrock lever caps and such on the bay.

Dave,
Is this a round sided bedrock (type 4 or earlier) or the square sided? I BELIEVE that the knobs might be different sizes. But the good news is that a knob from a plain old Stanley Bailey of similar vintage will fit them. And the same goes for iron and chip breaker.

The lever cap may be a bit harder. I would contact Walt Q at Brass City Records and Tools (203 574-7805). He's bound to have the knob, chip breaker and iron. And I would bet that he has the appropriate Bedrock lever cap.

One thing to consider, some Bedrocks were made WITHOUT the Bedrock Lever cap. Some featured the plain old Stanely cap because (at the time) they may have had a surplus. So if you want to get real technical, you could probably install a vintage Stanley Lever Cap and still be "historically" correct.:D
