I have seen one of these offered for $200. The photos don't show a chuck, but the bed is cast iron and about 3-4 ft long. The stand is metal, but not very heavy.

Are these worth looking at? I know it is old, but I can't find much about them. Are they imported or made in USA?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

Just went over to OWWM.com and checked them out. Sold by Mont. Ward. I wouldn't come up off of $200 for any of them. Not that I think they aren't good machines, but given that they are old machines, using old technology, and have probably been subjected to a lot of use/abuse/neglect, I think it is overpriced. I'd look it over and offer something less.

Just checked a little more on them. Manufactured by Magna (Shopsmith). 5/8" plain spindle. All of the ones I saw had an 8" swing, and where prices were given, no one paid more than $100 for one. If it comes with an abundance of accessories, it may be worth $200, if not, I'd make a low-ball offer.
