Question on leather weight vs thickness

Can someone tell me what weight 1/8" thick leather would be? I need to buy some veg tanned for key chain fobs and I'm not sure what to order.

The rule of thumb I've been taught is 1oz.=1/64". So you'd need 8oz. leather.
