Just some of today's work... trying to get it all done

Just a couple of today's pens... been hard at work filling my display for the Christmas craft season... not many free hours in the day, but I am getting it done... I figure if I can get 4-5 done a day I will be all set by November.
Now all I need is a whole lot of people with money in their pockets who appreciate hand made gifts for the holidays... LOL..
Worst case scenario, I try to sell them from my website after the holidays..
Purpleheart was given a light rub with muriatic acid and then sanded to remove the real intense color the acid produces..

Tom, please explain the process using acid on purpleheart. I have often wondered how people were able to get the intense purple color that I had never personally seen in the wood. I had tried using sunshine to brighten up the color but it never developed the brightness in your pen. Nice pens by the way!
