Hi all. I'm looking to buy a router for general shop and hand held use (leaving my big De Walt DW625EK in a router table), and i'm drawn to the 2 1/4 hp multi configuration routers that have popped up in the US - like the De Walt 618B3, Makita RD1101 or Bosch 1617.
The trouble is none of them seem to be available in the UK or ireland, at least so far as searches of distributor and tool supplier websites seem to say.
I'd happily buy in the US or Europe, but these routers are presumably 110V 60Hz single phase models which would not be usable on our 220/240V 50Hz single phase supply.
Bright ideas for getting around this anybody????
Thank you.
