Well, I've tried spread sheets - the old 3 times the cost rule - and a bunch of other things to come up with a uniformed pricing scheme.... all are just a tad complicated and the end result is either too much or not enough.

I've settled with another, completely different way to do it. And it's fine with me.

I hand the piece over to my wife and ask... "How much for this one, honey?"

She tells me and that's that....

Unscientific approach, but I like it.

That method does NOT work when I go to sell one of my tools!!! Particularly when she has previously commented as to why I would want all that "junk" anyway:o While she may be cognizant of the cost, I am not sure of her opinion on true value - or, at least, value as I see it.
