I have a Delta let tilt contractors saw and bought a link belt and machined pulleys for it friday went to put them on today.
I cant get the nut holding the pulley on the arbor off
I am working from the back of the saw.
So did i push up or down to get the nut off ?

I don't have a definite answer for you but I have something you can try when you are in situations like this and you are disoriented. I 'm not sure which exactly which saw you have but the nut on the 36-979 appears on sever right tilt saws also so I will assume it is right handed threads. So....... place your right hand with the fingers straight and point the thumb in the direction you want the nut to go to come off. Now wrap your fingers into your palm. That is the direction that the nut needs to go. Example..I want the nut to come off to the left, The thumb is pointing to the left, palm away from me, fingers wrap away from me. The wrench would need to move up. HTH
