Black Cherry HF

This Cherry HF is only 5x5 but sure has a lot going for it grain wise. Afraid the pic's don't show the deep undulating colors flowing around this little piece. It had several large deep checks which I filled with Cedar sanding dust and CA. In real life those checks are much more red that the photo shows and in my opinion adds a bit to the piece. This was a side cut off from a crotch area and the back side has the first pith area revealed. 4 soaking coats of DO then 3 wheel buffed. Feels so good in the hands.,,Bill..
