Where to start...

I didn't NEED a table saw. I had (still have, but will be selling) a Ridgid TS2424 contractors TS. I watch CL for deals. I found one...well a bunch on Wed night.

The TS...a unisaw Right Hand Tilt.

The top was a little rusty, but an hour of sanding, butcher's wax, and a damp rag to the rest of it cleaned the saw up nicely.

Well, the guy just HAD to get this stuff out of his garage because he was going to settlement on his house the next day and had nowhere to put this equipment, so... I also got this Delta 6" jointer. Not fully put together, but never used either.

And this Craftsman drill press.

And this Penn State DC-3 Dust collector.

And this Tenoning Jig.

There were a bunch of other little things he needed to get rid of, too:

A bench vise.

A tapering jig.

Two C clamps.

A set of 1/2 shank router bits.

A Dremmel sanding tool.

Two push blocks.

A dado insert (already on saw).

Standard insert.

Extra Dado insert.

Kerf separater.

Blade safety shield (not shown).

11 sets of Accuride drawer guides.

Porter Cable router guide (I don't have a PC router, so I guess I'll be selling that).

And I am not sure what this is, but he didn't want it anymore.

Oh, and did I mention that there was a set of SD-208 (I think that's the M#) dado blades included?

All for $300!!!!!!!

So far, everything works! I've cleaned 'em off and plugged 'em in...

You couldn't wipe the smile off my face with a belt sander right now!

YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good gravy man ... It's a good thing you're on the other side of the island from me or I'd have to come over and give you such a pinch ... Nice score!

That thing you can't identify looks a whole lot like the Kreg flip stop fence system for miter saws or miter gauges. :D

I'm going to add to the "you suck" pile.. Good grief man.. That's a freaking insane deal. In fact, I'm feeling a little ill just thinking about it... Moreover thinking of how I will never in my life find a deal like that.

One heck of a deal.. Pat yourself on the back and fine anyone else on the street to also do so.. Amazing.

So how do you use that? I may actually have a use for it. I'm building my chop saw bench as we speak. It may come in handy.

Have a look at this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FmFKugm0dk

They use that flip stop there in a few places. The only thing tricky is the height it gets mounted at ... that little auto-flip works at a certain fence height. At about 2:30 to 2:40 in that video, they show the auto-flip in action.

You sure you didn't miss a zero? $3000 not $300?
I'm thinking a deal like this might bring in the IRS to tax you on money not spent.

Add another YOU SUCK!!

How about lending me the crystal ball you used to find a deal like that. I can't even find a steal on a band saw, dust collector, or drill press.

I did just miss a G0555x for $150 though, by an hour.

Did we mention YOU SUCK!!:D

Congrats on your new toys,

Jim

Guys, I check CL 2 to 3 times a day for "deals". There have been a bunch that I missed out on. There have been some that I saw right after getting something else (like after I got the Ridgid 14"BS for $150, added all the upgrades, even with deals on motors etc, $550 in at the end...then finding a Grizzly 16" come on for $300!...will all the things I that I added to my BS standard or added to the Grizzly...)

I know this was a once in a lifetime find. Heck, the Unisaw doesn't really "fit" in my shop. It might sound like complaining to ya'll, but as my shop is configured, right now, I can't take advantage of the full 52" fence...I can use about 36" of it...I'll try to reconfigure. Also, when I built all my benches, I built them at 36" off the ground so that they were the height or below my TS...thereby not being in the way of a long board going through the TS. Doesn't it figure that this TS is about 2 inches shorter...even with the mobile base! Now I have to come up with a 2 inch riser for the TS.

REALLY, I'm not complaining, just trying to make you all feel better about my recent aquisitions not being trouble free...:D Probably didn't help though, did it?:o

Okay, I'll do it for you....WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Oh, yeah, besides, haven't you all seen some of the threads I've posted on Deals and Discounts? OK, some of them were meant as jokes, but some of them were some serious deals! OK, maybe not as good as this one, but real good deals none the less. Keep your eyes open, good deals are out there, you just have to be patient.
