question about the Leigh DR4, Festool and dust collection

Hi,

I plan to buy the DR4 soon to use with my Festool OF1010 router. I was wondering what benefit, if any, I would derive from also buying Leigh's Vacuum and Router Support given the dust collection already built into the Festool router,

I can't say much about the Festool router because I don't own one. But I do own the DR4 with the dust collection attachment and I love it. Before I purchased the dust collection attachment and used the DR4, I had shavings and dust everywhere. It has cut that down by at least 50% if not more. The best 60 bucks I ever spent. JMHO:)

Definitely get the VRS. Router only dust collection doesn't work with bushings and buried dovetail bits. I had a similar experience with the VRS as the above poster. Before I was buried in shavings, now it's a fairly clean operation. As a side note my Festool CT works pretty well with the VRS.
