Greetings,
I've got a Delta 14" band saw (the 1/3HP, open stand model, 28-243).
Found a Sears 6" riser block, would like to see if any has the experience
with the combination? Will the riser block fit the Delta?

Thanks in advance.

Pinwu

The Delta IIRC,has some steel locator dowels on it to make sure the top wheel is parallel with the bottom wheel. The Sears riser MIGHT could be made to fit. I am not familiar with it,but it might have to be accurately modified. Are you a machinist?

With a riser kit, you get block, upper guide post (longer). blade guard for both sides, also longer. Ittura Design is the source for all your band saw questions, and supplies.

I bit the bullet and paid the price for a Delta riser kit. Couldn't find anything else.

I think if you'll do some research here you'll find that a Grizzly riser block will line up and work but you'll need some additional parts to get saw running. I decided not to hastle with all that and just ponied up for the genuine Delta kit.
